Microfilm Digitization Solution for Student Records, Digital ReeL, to be Featured by BMI Imaging at AACRAO Conference

BMI Imaging to highlight solutions at Booth 539 that help educational institutions eliminate physical microfilm and microfiche; microfilm scanning and digitization solution reduces records management costs and enables immediate access to digital records

Sunnyvale, California – March 20, 2016 – BMI Imaging Systems, a leading provider of microfilm digitization solutions for educational institutions, announced today that it will be attending the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Conference.

The AACRAO’s membership includes approximately 11,000 members and partners representing over 2,500 institutions, organizations, and education-oriented businesses in the United States and more than 35 countries around the world. AACRAO represents institutions from every sector of the higher education community, from large public institutions to small, private liberal arts colleges.

Many educational institutions continue to archive transcripts, student records, admissions, student billing and HR records on physical microfilm. BMI Imaging will be demonstrating Digital ReeL, a microfilm digitization solution.

With BMI’s Digital ReeL microfilm digitization solution, educational organizations no longer have to hassle with physical microfilm and legacy readers. Staff can easily scroll digital microfilm rolls or microfiche sheets from a computer and use full text search to immediately find student records, transcripts, admission records and HR records. Difficult-to-read images and photos can be turned into high-quality images with Digital ReeL’s adjustable grayscale feature. Digital ReeL is available as an on premise solution and also as a cloud-based SaaS option.
